Could you simply use fruit as a theme? I am teaching a Sunday School unit on the Fruits of the Spirit and we likened each one to a fruit: Love-Strawberry, Joy-Orange, Peace-Grapes, Patience-Banana, Kindness-Pineapple, Goodness-Apple, Faithfulness-Pear, Gentleness-Kiwi, and Self-Control-Cherry (and whipped cream). You could add to the goals a specific fruit that they think they should work on during the school year. I hope that helps! :-)
By the way, I used feet as my theme when I taught 4th grade in a Christian school:
