word wall uses

When we are journal writing I get many requests to spell words for students. If I know a word is on the word wall I will point it out rather than spell it for the student. As the year progresses, they can find it themselves if I tell them to look under a certain letter. And for those not ready for even that, another student can use a pointer to help their friend find the appropriate word to copy into their journal.
