I think there are word wall games you can play
By Jill G.

Clip to ScrapBook
I just can't remember them. Someone will probably point you to a book that has them. I remember one was that you can play a game asking them to read your mind. You give them clues about a word on the word wall and they
try and guess the word you're thinking. (like "I'm thinking of a word that starts with the letter b" or I'm thinking of a word that has one syllable")

One thing I wonder - if they are not using the word wall perhaps the words listed are too easy for them? That is, are they getting the spellings right in their journals, letters, etc.? If they are not using the word wall and the words

*are* difficult enough for them, maybe you could somehow require that word wall words be spelled correctly the first time you see their work? For instance you could say, "Now that this word is on the word wall we all need to spell it this way in our journals, letters, and other work. If I see a word wall word in your letter today that is not spelled this way I will need you to write it correctly". Or something like that.
