California teacher - Relocating Illinois

HI, Anyone out there teach in or near Chicago, Illinois? I currently teach in California and have a Multiple Subject Credential. My husband and I are planning to move to Chicago. I've looked at the Chicago Public School website, but I would like to hear information about teaching in Chicago from an actual teacher. For example, what is the student/teacher ratio, district info - pros, cons, teachers needed, etc. Any info would be helpful. Thank you!!!
