an actual rain forest
By Judy24

Clip to ScrapBook
I did this one year and it works!

I built a big rectangle out of PVC pipe. I made it big enough for the kids to enter, but I don't think it has to be.

I covered the sides with plastic like clear drop cloth and the top with a green tarp(to look like the canopy).

I put plants inside and a pot of water. I then put in a humidifier.

I turned on the humidifier one time a day and the condensation stayed in the tent and it felt like it was raining in our rainforest.

We studied the temperature of the rainforest and learned why it really rains in the rainforest. The kids loved it and it was so hands on that they understood the concept easily.
