missing them too... By tch3rd

My year sounds very much like the one above. My kids were wonderful! I had a super small group at a private school and really got to know each one of my kiddos. It was my 5th year and I think I was only this emotional| with one other group. They also made a special scrapbook with the help of parent helpers that I will keep in my class forever. Third graders are great because they still enjoy hugs and are a bit needy for "comfort" from their teacher, but becoming independent and not entirely dependent. I think it is the perfect grade, I have taught preschool, pre-k, 2nd and fourth, and they don't compare(in | | my opinion) to third. The good thing is that you can see them next year, if you are at the same school, and watch them grow. I look forward to my third graders visiting and keeping me posted as they progress through school. Enjoy the break!
