When I came to the school I am at now, our old school had consolidated and it was not a happy choice for everyone, including myself. But the second grade class I got was so special and wonderful. It had been a long time since I had a class that I loved so well. Plus my mother died during that school year and 2 uncles. I don't know if that was part of what made them so special because they were so sweet to me during that time, or if it was the makeup of the class... We all just jelled from the start and it was that way the whole year. The parents were special, too. The last day we spent the day in group and individual hugs and saying goodbye and it was hard for us to let go for the summer. They will always hold a special place in my heart....:)
