Hi! Let's see, growing up (like 30 years ago :( ) I remember having Citizen of the Week awards and Citizen of the Month etc. We had monthly awards ceremonies where the awards were presented and parents came to watch.

I always had "Star Students" which changed weekly or bi-weekly depending on the number of students in my room. I sent home a piece of tag board with a note for the parent and child to decorate it with memories of the child. Those were hung up in my classroom...it wasn't an award though because everyone had a chance to do it.

What type of involvement are you looking for? Parents volunteering in the classrooms? Touring the school? Buying things? or parents just hanging out?
