Clip to ScrapBook
I'm with you! Its hard being around my co-workers who are counting down the days and can't wait to be done (granted--I'm looking forward to my summer, but I love my job!)

I just finished my first year yesterday (the
kids were done on Friday). It was so, so, so hard to say goodbye to these kiddos. They were my first class and they were all mine for a whole year.

They were a fantastic group of kiddos that (for the most part) all got along together so well. We truly were a little family.

I came home last night, was home for about 2 hours and I was bored! So...I made a trip to Holcomb's
and bought some things for next year's centers.

I finished cleaning my room today (well, alright, there are a few boxes/shelves of just STUFF) and I was actually tearful when I shut off the lights and walked out...I can't belive my first year is over.

This spring was filled with so many uncertainties: would I have a job, where would I be teaching, would I still have second grade? Everything worked our perfectly and everyone from my building will be back except for three beloved teachers who retired. My school is my second home (in a good way!) I student taught there, subbed there, was a permanent sub there, and now finished my first year there.

I can't wait until school starts to do it all again! :D
