any maryland teachers?

I am an elementary California teacher who will be moving to the Baltimore area at the end of June. I applied with Howard County and Baltimore County and I flew out a couple of weeks ago to have a preliminary interview with them. Could anyone give me any feedback about these counties and how I should proceed with the application process? Is it hard to get interviews with principals? I have over 7 years of experience but I know nothing about Maryland schools. Any advice would be great.
