birdfeeders
By mab

Clip to ScrapBook
I've used plastic pop(soda) bottles ( the 12-16-24 oz size). Rinse them out. Turn them upside down and with a woodburning tool put 2 holes at the top on opposite sides of the bottle. Thread a piece of thin wire about 18 inches
long thru the holes. Make a loop in one end and thread the other end thru and twist to secure. Push it back inside the bottle so little fingers won't get hurt.

Then go halfway down the bottle (still upside down) and poke 2 holes, again on opposite sides, with the woodburner, big enough for the size seed to come out. About 1-2 inches below that poke 2 more holes with the woodburner
and push a wooden dowel thru for a perch. Should be 1/4 inch thick and about 6 inches long.

Turn it right side up. Fill with birdseed. Screw on the lid and hang! :)
