My school has adopted the Handwriting Without Tears program and we love it. We begin in grade 3 and continue in grades 4 and 5. The little guys (K-2) use the same program but with printing. I have found that my kids pick up the handwriting much more quickly and have a much easier time actually applying it to their work--not just using it during "cursive". I have several kids who are Disgraphic (sp?) and this program has been immensly helpful for them as well. Hope this helps--let me know if you have any more questions :)
