We do mapping at our school. I like it for the new teachers who come to our grade level. It gives them something to go by (something that I didn't have when I was hired). Cons--finding time to get them done. We are supposed to update ours every month--I have a VERY hard time getting that done. Also, some teachers at our school only teach 2-3 subjects, while others like me, teach EVERYTHING and I have to have a map for everything--not fair in the grand scheme of things!! I will be switching grade levels next year, so I will have to completely redo all my maps. I am not looking forward to that!!
