Since someone mentioned the water cycle, I did a thematic unit on it. I'll give you some of my links:

Make sure to explain the ocean may get saltier over time due to droughts and lack of rain. If water doesn't go in, but comes out, the impurities (salt) get left behind...more salt, less water=saltier water.
