vocab instruction
By teachfla

Clip to ScrapBook
I use a very simple method of vocab instruction that has always worked for my students. I teach context clues. I don't pre-indentify words before reading in the basal. When we get to a voacb word, they come up with a synonym based on the context or what it might mean. We do this with other words in all subjects, too. Mine are great at finding root words and really use their prefix and suffix skills.
