tickets
By SusanTeach

Clip to ScrapBook
I've used tickets the past few years and it has always gone well. If a child goes all day with good behavior then they get a ticket. The ticket goes into a basket, and I draw 2 tickets each day. The tickets stay there all week (so they have several chances), and I start over on Monday. I don't give out tickets until the room/floor is clean, so that adds to the incentive!

What hasn't worked for me? My library is fine - thankfully. But I can't figure out a good way to do AR. Some kids do it and some don't. I don't want to force them to only read AR books when there are tons of other great books out there (and we don't have tests for all the books anyway). I also need an easy way to keep up with points and rewards for it.
