Clip to ScrapBook
Also an idea I found here a few years ago: with my 1st graders we add a straw for each day that passed, school days and vacation as well. When we have 10, we secure them with a rubber band. The kids love to count the straws and really get the notion of tens. On the calendar I have a different color for the ten and for the ones as well. On the 100th day of school we bundle all the tens together with a big ribbon. I did the same with my K students this year but we stop at the end of the month and start over. It works well!
