I loved both of your ideas. I agree with the book thing also. I have too many books in my library. I am going through and weeding out. There are just too many. I just hate to get rid of books though. It is so hard.

I use a behavior management system that works wonders. Each child gets 15 "chances" per week. They are little bingo chips. The kids store them in film canisters and have to give one to me for breaking a classroom rule. If they do a wonderful job at something, they earn a bonus chance. All children with 13 chances at the end of the week get to go to Fun Friday. (games, etc. in the classroom or recess outside) I really have loved this system.
