Room Mom

Too late for you this year, "4th Teach", but I was just thinking of approaching my Room Mom and saying very tactfully that what I'd really like at years end is a letter, drawing or card from my students or parents. Knowing I was appreciated is the best gift, and that's all it would take, no gifts are necessary. However, if they really really wanted to get together on a gift (ie $1 each) how about buying a hardcover book for the school library and donating it in my name? I think she'd take that ball and run with it.
