How sad

that some of us don't receive any form of appreciation. On teacher appreciation day none of my kids/parents gave me anything. I'm the only teacher of 4 on my team who plans special activities and has kids do some form of
craft for every occasion. (materials I paid for out of my pocket) I still have a couple of weeks to go but I'm not holding my breath.
Why it gets to me some is because one of the other teachers gets lots of stuff from her parents all the time. She doesn't even send them a thank you note. I feel embarrased because I think it shows that my parents this year don't like me or think I did

a good job. I know its not true because I have heard through others that some really like me a lot. I usually receive a few nice notes and a couple of small gifts. Now I'm at a new school and I get nothing.
