I would go for a laptop. You can always watch DVDs in bed:) Seriously, since my laptop is much better than the pc I could have had in my room, I find it easier to use my own laptop and don't have to duplicate files and stuff. And I have access to all my filesand doc, music etc at all times.Just one thing though: always take the battery out when working on power and let it empty completely before you plug in. It costed me one battery to figure it out! As for memory, pentium etc, as my friend's grandmother used to say: You're not rich enough to buy bad quality, just go for the best:)
