Time Capsules By SpecEdTeach

I am a 6th grade teacher in an elementary building. I had an idea of making time capsules with my students, since this is their last year in elementary school. I thought they could fill up an old shoe box or something, we could seal it, and I will keep in my classroom, hopefully until they graduate. The question is, does anyone have any suggestions as to what I should put in it?

So far I came up with:
A picture of our class
A List of things that are popular in 2006
Some of their favorites, like who their best friend was, etc.
A goal that they want to accomplish before they graduate.
Some things of their own.

Any other ideas??
I would have each kid create their own time capsule.
