that's so sad!

that's the saddest thing I've ever heard!! :( I'm sorry you had that experience!


At our school Camp Learned a Lot is not a field trip/ over night idea(which is a cute idea without all those
earned letters). We rotate our kids between other grade level classrooms-- one rotation per day. The teachers wear camping gear and we blow a whistle to move. In each classroom, we do a fun activity that reviews something we've learned in the year. This way, each teacher just sets up the same activity every day and only has to worry about that one activity. We decorated the hallway with
green crepe paper on the ceiling and trees in the halls with memories from the year. We built reading tents in our classrooms and had a sing along around a pretend campfire.
