There are many free sites for teachers to use for web page building. If you google "free teacher web pages" you will find many options. Free sites are great to get started on. But you have to remember, you get what you pay for. As you grow, it is well worth the investment to buy server space. There is no advertising, lots of technical support, they work hard to make publishing as easy as possible, and you get a web address that is alot easier to remember. I use godaddy.com. Their provide many levels of server space as well as domain names. Their cheapest server space more than provides for my needs. The previous poster's advice to look at other teacher websites is great! It helps you define what you really want. My fourth grade website developed and grew with me over a three year period. It is posted on my school server. Here is the link - http://www.cedar-falls.k12.ia.us/Buildings/OrchardHill/vanous/index.htm (I see the address is so long that it was abbreviated in the link. That is one of the disadvantages of free web server space.) I was in kindergarten this year, and moving to first grade next year. My current website is just a skeleton, with very little completed. I started the second week in March and found out the first of April about the grade change. Therefore I have done little more than post weekly newsletters. You are welcome to look at this page as well. It is hosted by godaddy with my own domain name. - http://www.mrsvanous.com/index.htm
