popcorn
By Teri

Clip to ScrapBook
This is kinda messy. The popcorn you use has to be popped in oil. You then add dry tempera paint to a bag of popcorn and shake. You can do this a number of times with different colors. Loooooooooong ago when I was student teaching I had the children make fall colorful trees with the "painted" popcorn by gluing it onto a paper tree. We also made popped popcorn-shaped books using our senses to describe the popcorn, etc.
