My reason for mentioning the website was to provide background for that grade level and a sample lesson that would key into what parts of the curriculum was studied in the unit. It wasn't to use the website verbatim as the| actual lesson plan. Probability and algebra are pretty broad topics. It is always helpful to know what the text has expected so you know their prior experiences, especially in a demo. It wasn't to conform to what was already there. is valuable, too.I also find that just because the website is there, doesn't mean that the teacher/students necessarily utilize it. Our book is Scott Foresman, and it is totally online for the kids, as are related games and e-tools. When polling the kids, very few actually go on line to use it. They and their parents can't be bothered to find the time.
