Thanks for your reply. I have read the Fountas and Pinnell book-excellent. I'm not aware of cunningham's webiste. I guess I'm still confused. With the 4 blocks, is the traditional approach to guided reading eliminated? That is, reading with a small group on their instructional level (taking running records occasionally) while the rest of the class works in stations?? I don't see this address in any 4 blocks books. I've always done DRA's on my students to know where to put them in guided reading books. Shared reading time was just another branch of the literacy program. Thank you for your help!! I want to nail this interview sooo badly! DW
