First Demo Lesson Ever (help For A New Teacher) By newrm

i interviewed for a 5th grade position and they called me back asking me to do a demo lesson for 5th grade math in 2 days!

i asked the vice principal(who contacted me) what math program they are using (which is houghton mifflin) and what they are learning right now and she said they are finishing up probability and then doing simple algebra and i asked her if there is a certain lesson they want me to do and she said no

should i do it on algebra or probability or pick anything as long as its appropriate for math?

any unique ideas and how i can relate the topic to their world (ie how they can use it outside of school etc) help please!
