Clip to ScrapBook
One of the simplest and most effective strategies I have learned is to be in constant motion in your classroom. The students should never see you as sticking to one location in the room...at your desk, in front of the board. Walk around the classroom when you read aloud. Even if you sit to do something quietly, sit in different parts of the room. You can even sit with a group of children at their desks. This strategy keeps you connected to the kids and it also limits the number of times they try to pull things behind your back.
