I have a follow up question... I have a student who spends many recesses inside cleaning with me, doing work, or writing apologies. No, it doesn't seem effective b/c the next day he will be disruptive, violent again. He does need time to run around and be social but I don't feel I should reward him w/free time if he does no work for much of the morning or is fighting. Also, about 90% of the time that he does go out, he ends up having an altercation w/other students on the playground or refusing to line up when the bell rings. Any advice/ideas would be greatly appreciated :)
