Recess By Kristine

We don't have recess in our county. It isn't required, but it is encouraged on non P.E. days. We have PE two days a week and we are encouraged to take them out on the other three days. Since we departmentalize and Art class is 45 minutes, I can't do it on Art day. That leaves two days to work it in around social studies. It just doesn't work some weeks. Play or teach social studies?!? I wish we had a recess time that was structured.
