Share only if you feel comfortable
By Erica

Clip to ScrapBook
I read the first book in the series to my fifth graders before seeing the movie. They were so excited that they decided to read the second book (The Lion, The Witch and the Wardrobe) on their own. Many of them came to me
about Alsan. After the movie, one of the girls said something about how amazed she was that ASLAN was killed and then came back to life. I asked her if that reminded her of anyone. She actually made the connection herself and said Jesus. A couple of other kids that heard also understood the connection that she made.
I teach in a small public school. I wanted to share so much with my
students about this book, but didn't because I didn't feel comfortable. I was so glad that the opportunity to share the connection between Jesus and Aslan came up because of the student's own intrigue in the movie. Good luck to you, and I hope you find a way to share what's on your heart with your student.
God bless:)
