Clip to ScrapBook
Those spontaneous "eruptions" are just part of the job. It does help if you've had to clean up after your own child or pet. You can keep a small container of sawdust and a spray bottle of air freshener in your closet if
your janitor is hard to find. Dump the sawdust over the booboo and spray the air with freshener to help keep others from gagging.

Just a personal experience about this kind of thing. I used to faint at the sight of blood. Really. But my first year of teaching I had two very yucky accidents on the playground. One was a bad bump to the eye, the other a broken arm. Both times I just

took care of the problem, never once getting woozy or feeling sick myself. I think when you are in charge you just take over and do what must be done. Later you fall apart.
