throwing up
By Kate/KS

Clip to ScrapBook
Every year I usually have someone throw up. I also remember trying not to gag the first time it happened. Funny, though, that after having kids myself, I don't gag anymore....Anyway, after a while you can almost see it on
their face before they do. I quickly move the trash can over to catch it and direct them to use it if they need it. This last year a little girl was showing the signs so I quickly pulled over the trash can. While she was throwing up, I held the can for her, patted her back and continued on with our morning calendar activities. I always tell the kids that it is no big deal, and we try
to carry on as normal as much as possible. When I think the student is finished, the trash can, student and I go to the office. By the way, don't you just hate when you call the parent and they say, "Gee, she told me she didn't feel good this morning. I guess she was right."......ARGH!
