During my student teaching my mentor was having problems with her back so she was in and out a lot. The most was 3 days at a time, so I had a sub a lot during student teaching. It didn't matter though, because Penn State requires that you teach 100% of the day for 5 weeks anyhow. Fortunately the subs that I got USUALLy let me do what I needed to do. Some felt superior and tried to act like my mentor.
