If you live in a city or larger center
check out

- teacher stores (see if they need extra summer help)
- tourist facilities such as zoos, science centers, etc., (some may even want to have teachers help create

programs for the fall) - work for local festivals (fun and you earn money at the same time) - if you enjoy the outdoors and don't mind physical work - check with your parks and recreation department, golf courses, parks, or private companies for jobs in landscaping, grass cutting, etc., If you live in an area where there can be a lot of forest fires, check with

your local forestry department. They are often looking for people to help in the camps with cooking, buying supplies, secretarial, etc., The money is often very, very good. You'd have to be able to be away from your home for periods of time.
