Eric Carle Snacks
By triana00

Clip to ScrapBook
The big day is finally here, and the second grade will be going to see The Very Hungry Caterpillar and Other Eric Carle Favorites on Monday.

I have the kiddo's tshirts almost done (they each brought in a plain tshirt
and I made an iron on transfer with each of the foods from the story each one says "On Saturday, I ate..." and then the picture is behind it.)

Anyhow, because we have such a large group (7 classes) we were only able to attend the later show (12:30) instead of the morning show like we normally do. The busses are going to leave at 11 am, so we're going to have to eat lunch before
then (10:30) in our classrooms. The students are bringing a bag lunch to eat, but by the time we get back, sometime around 2, everyone is going to be hungry!

I could just do a generic snack for the kids, but I was trying to do something related to one of the books....I know I could do fruit salad from the Very Hungry Caterpillar, but that will be expensive for 22 kids.

It also needs to be something somewhat substantial since they WILL be hungry.

Any creative ideas???
