Clip to ScrapBook
We were doing CSE meetings all morning and at one student's meeting, the psychologist mentioned the possibility of memory testing (can't remember the name of the test - sorry). After the meeting was over, I asked her about this test and described a student much like the one you describe. She said I could be right and that his reading and comprehension problems were actually stemming from a memory problem. She put him on the schedule for testing and in the meantime we talked about things I could do to provide some test accommodations. I don't want the kid to keep failing everything he tries after every book he reads. I'm going to talk to his mom about it this weekend.
