Clip to ScrapBook
Hello,

Some things that help little ones in the beginning of the year:

Simpler is better. Try to make your activities short and simple.

Depending on your class, you may have to model how to: use glue, use scissors, put things away, how to use the bathroom, how to line up, EVERYTHING. The more you model the easier it will be. This is important especially if you have children that don't have a lot of school experience.

At the end of the first day I remind them what they will do in the morning when they get to school, what my name is, and tell them something to look forward to.

Good luck.

Jen
