Your tips were such a great help to me. I am really getting excited for my first class! I have decided to use a theme of frogs for the beginning of the year decorations. I have frog name cards (for the desks) and a neat frog border to make a "Leaping into first grade" bulletin board. I also have neat little alphabet tapes, which stick on their desks to help them become familiar with letters. I am going to help them feel secure and that they are going to do VERY well in first grade this year. Thanks for your great ideas. I will definitely remember your tips that first week as I get things going.
