Hi, JoAnne. I just finished a 1/2 loop and am getting ready to start another. I loved it. It was really neat to see how much the children grew and learned. We had a group that had low IQs and a lot of behavioral problems. I think looping was very beneficial to this group of students in particular. Parents comments were also very positive. We didn't have any negative feedback. There were three 1/2 loops. We did have one parent opt out of a loop after 1st grade, but the parent and the teacher came to the agreement together. There is a conference in Indianapolis every year for Multi-Age and Looping the end of July and beginning of August. I hope this helps.
