Homework

I too think we overdo homework. I send it once a week. There are starred items and then choices (choose one of these 2). Starred items are required. It is usually an activity rather than a worksheet. I also put a note to parents about why the starred activity is important or what the objective of the assignment is. I feel the more information I share with the parents, the more likely they will take the time to do the activity. I would be glad to share some of my favorite first grade assignments.
