essentials

Clip to ScrapBook
I would say do without some of the picture books and especially the chapter books (unless you want a couple to read outloud to your kids). You can probably pick up books in England just as cheaply or once you are where you
will be living, check out their library system and use it for books. I only had a few books when I started out, I was able to borrow books from the school's library for the first couple of years until I was able to build up my classroom library.

I think the teacher's books, stickers, are more essentials as they may be more difficult to find. Can you take some of the heavier books

with you on the plane in your carry-on?

Another option would be to make 2 or 3 parcels and once you are in England and settled and have your first paycheck or two, then send money to have someone send over the next parcel, then in a few more months, do it again. This way you at least spread out the cost over time and don't have to be worrying about carrying it with you while you are first trying to settle in.

By the way, keep in touch and let us know how the move goes and how your new school is. I'd love to learn more about the similarities and differences in the English school system
