Clip to ScrapBook
I use several methods through the year. This year I will begin with gumball machines. I laminated gumball machine shaped paper(teacher supply store) and I velcroed 5 round plastic jewels (Hobby Lobby) for each child in
my room. The child has to pull a gumball for misbehavior. I use this plan:
First one pulled is a warning.
Second one means five minutes away from the group.
Third one is 10 minutes time-out of next recess and a note to the parents.
Fourth one is 20 minutes time-out and a call to the parents.
Fifth one is time-out, a call to parents, and visit the principal's office.
If
a child does not pull any gumballs I give them a small prize(a few M&M's or Skittles, asticker or a gumball)

I also use French Fries. I get each child a McDonald's French Fry container and cut up yellow sponges to look like big french fries. I use the same basic plan with the fries.

I have also used a basic flip chart. Each child has a card with a different colored dot on each end front and back. Green means you are doing great. Yellow means slow down and take 5 minutes away from the group. Red means stop and think they owe time-out at recess and a note home. Blue means time-out, call parents, and visit the princiapl's office.

Wow, I have really gone on and on. I hope this helped.
