Don't Know What to Do About Contract! HELP!!
By Confused

Clip to ScrapBook
Hello!
I have been working for this school district for only one year (I have been teaching a total of four years) and have been very happy with the district. My husband is finishing his masters program this May and
is currently looking for a full time position. It is looking very much like we are going to have to relocate to another state for him to start his career. I was thinking that I would have until April at the earliest before my school district would be sending out contracts for next year. I was hoping by then that we would know one way or another if we would have to move out of state or
not. I just found out that my school district will be sending out contracts in February and they must be signed by the end of that month. I am freaking out! I love this district and want to stay if he gets a job here, but I really doubt that is possible. What should I do? Can I sign a contract and then back out of it if we are moving out of state? I am afraid that if I don't sign my contract and then my husband does not get a job then we will both be unemployed. I am really torn. Advice?
