Anything else?

Is there anything else you can barter? If not, stand firm. The kid's teacher should be providing help, so if you are not being compensated, then do not do it? If they have money for a vacation, new clothes, little league sign-ups, etc, then too bad. Sorry, but as a mom, I sacrificed when my kid needed tutoring (and I'm a teacher!) Do not cheapen what you do by giving it away for free. (Something my mom told me....why buy the cow if you get the milk for free? I think she was talking about something else......):o
