Chalk/chalkboards
By Helen

Clip to ScrapBook
If your old school is no longer in use, try to get one of your district maintenance men to cut one of the old boards up for your use in class.....
About 12 inches square should do. Get your old socks..the one where the washer ate 1/2 a pair or where you rubbed a hole in only one...wash them of course and put 1/2 stick of chalk into each sock. Put socks in a box.. Pass out chalkboards and socks, Have child put the sock on his hand and arm..Then practice hand writng and/or spelling..corrections are easy, wipewith the side of you hand..hold chalk in your fingers (same hand)..Kids love it!!! Good cheap center???? Great classroom practice, you can watch them make letters etc and assess withou having papers to grade!!!
