electric sharpeners
By pattyk

Clip to ScrapBook
I have been using the same Boston sharpener for 10 years now (cost a lot when I bought it, the number $53.00 sticks in my mind), although it is taped together. I have also gone thru at least 10 smaller electric sharpeners
that cost between $10-15. This year, I put small, cheap, plastic sharpeners in my work baskets. All work together to keep everyone with sharpened pencils. Some kids really like the plastic ones...others go to the smaller electric (I do have 4 of them)...still others go for the Boston work horse that has the adjustable openings. Also, if one goes on the fritz, there are others to use
and I don't hear my name constantly connected with the words 'the sharpener is broken'. This is my last year of teaching art (30 years is enough), if I were to buy a new one, I would get the Boston Heavy Duty one with the adjustable openings.
