Based on your description, you are looking for an ELMO.

This year, my husband and I both installed multimedia projectors in our classrooms. We ordered them from Dell, and we have both been very happy with the purchase.
When you are shopping...remember the more "lumens" the better. This is in regards to the brightness of your picture. I would not buy a projector with under 2000 lumens. The ones we purchased have 2300 lumens. I do so much with the projector...PowerPoint presentations, show stuff off the Internet, graphic organizers (just pop them up instead of copying them), watch DVDs or VHS

tapes, etc. It seems like I come up with new ideas every day.

If you get a projector, I would also suggest you get a wireless keyboard and mouse. The one we ordered also came with a presentation remote, so I can show my PowerPoint presentations by standing anywhere in the classroom.

I also ordered a new projection screen. I got a big one that drops down from the ceiling.

We also installed a Sony surround sound system. We purchased it from Best Buy. Make sure to get one that has a receiver. This way your DVD player and VCR, computer, and stereo can all be hooked up to the sound system. It is really cool when we watch movies and listen to our books on tape!
