I have them in my room and it is the most useful item I have ever had for teaching. THey are very, very expensive. The LCD projector is around $1,200 and the document camera is around $400.

Once you actually get this set up, you can also put a cable from your computer to your projector and show anything you play on your computer through your projector. If you want to play a DVD and make it big, movie size you can show it to the class. You can also model new computer programs to the entire class, or show something from the Internet. Anything you want to show to your class from you computer can go on the big screen. I like to type when I model writing.

It is fantastic for using student work too. I hope you get one.
